SONANT

A Body Music performance created and directed by Alba Cabral for her Final Performance Masters in Music Leadership at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama.
During 8 months Alba has worked weekly with a group of women exploring, experimenting and investigating a series of Body-Percussion techniques and their impact on these women's lives, through a collective and collaborative musical work based on improvisation, SONANT was created.
Cadê o Saci Pererê?
An interactive family theater show based around the famous Brazilian folklore character Saci-Perere. Created by Alba Cabral, Carolina Cal and Whippersnappers.
This exciting newly piece was commissioned by the Horniman Museum to be part of the Festival of Brasil 2016. It incorporates live Brazilian music, mime, puppetry and flamboyant visual back drops, costumes and props.
A photo-soundscape

A sound installation created by a remix of the original audio of SONANT's performance and photographic images of rehearsals.

Remix by Feargus Murphy and Photographic images by Matt Currington, who was a collaborator that experimented photos in motion while the music was being created in the sessions prior to the SONANT performance. The installation was part of the CURIOUS festival in July 2016 in partnership with Guildhall School of Music and the Barbican Centre.
